I covered the People’s Assembly of Victoria (Occupy Victoria) yesterday. Organizers amended the title of Occupy Victoria to the People’s Assembly of Victoria out of respect for the First Peoples of Victoria and Vancouver Island. After some welcoming messages and a recital of the Occupy Wall Street manifesto, the majority of us set off to march through the streets of downtown Victoria, eventually arriving at the Provincial Legislature and then back to Centennial Square.
I encourage everyone to check out filmmaker Velcrow Ripper’s blog http://occupylove.org where he is posting updates, photos and videos from the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Below are are some highlight images from the Assembly and march in Victoria BC.
Enjoy!

These are amazing, I wish I lived in a big city to shoot stuff like this. My favorite is the girl with the hula hoops!
