I was very stoked when I heard Victoria’s own (by way of Alberta) Mike Edel (http://www.mikeedel.com) was the opening act for Serena Ryder – one of the main headliners for the Victoria 2013 JazzFest (her photos will be posted soon). I shot Mike a few years ago at a friend’s CD Release party and I really dug his sound and songwriting. His show this June at a sold out Royal Theatre was so good – the performance was heartfelt and inspiring and it sounded amazing. Many many Mike Edel fans were born that night – the shots in the lobby at the end of this post are proof.
Well done Mr. Edel, well done.
